Eye candy ...

Happened to LIKE Burberry's Facebook Page a few moons back and I must say, the Burberry Prorsum S/S12 Womenswear collection is definitely electric. There was a moment where I had an instant urge to rush to the stores after looking at the photos on Facebook however, the saner side of me reminded myself that it requires loads of MULA $$$$ ... *coughs* ...Reminder to thyself, budget constraint! Sooooo, instead of succumbing into a crazy shopping frenzy (not that  I could afford it at the moment), I decided to enjoy the vibrant colours of the fabulous, amazing collection from the vicinity of my Macbook instead. *sobs*

Kudos to technology because it is not necessary for you to be some hot shot fashionista/stylist/magazine editor bla.bla.bla sitting at the front row during Fashion Week in order to get a peep at the latest look in season. Thank goodness for the presence of cyberworld and social networking.

Fashion is the just perfect antidote after a tiring day (spent the whole noon driving to another state for monthly business calls). Lifts the soul! Before I end my ramblings for the day, this amazing, uber cool pair of wedges from the S/S 12 Womenswear collection has caught my attention.

If only ... $$$$ grew on trees !! If only .... I could get my hands on them. I would definitely be the coolest girl in town .. Nahh!! Silly habit of mine - daydreaming again!

If only .... *ZZZZZzzzzzz*

Who could've guessed ...

Shocker No. 1:
I have recently (after years of contemplation and procrastination) started working out at the gym (at my new place)

Shocker No. 2:
Today was my third visit and much to my surprise, I am starting to enjoy the sweating like a pig work out sessions.

Shocker No. 3:
To regular people, 10 km might have been a piece of cake but to a lazy bum like me, it signifies a small lil' form of achievement. Both mentally and physically. On a serious note, trust me when I say lazy, really lazy!! Yes, few months ago, there was the 'once in a blue moon' hillwalks at a park near my house with my fellow buddies ...BUT... Erm, honestly, I was actually more motivated by the scrumptious breakfast sessions after hillwalks .. Oops!!  *blushes*  My first attempt of a workout session at the gym in my condo merely lasted 15 mins - 10 mins of cycling and 5 mins of huffing and puffing (not to mention, almost fainting *Shhhhhh*). Ended up playing at the playground instead *LOL*.

Normally, whenever anyone mentions the word "EXERCISE", my first response would be, " Nah!! Only a sucker would waste their time smelling like a pig. I'd rather take a nap or procrastinate at home." Yep! That was the old, pain in the arse, slacker me.

Lesson learnt, nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself! This is what they call, The Power of the Mind. Totally agree with this statement! I certainly deserve a kick in the arse for that shallow thinking of mine previously.

And the aim is to achieve a body like Victoria Secret models ...

Lol, who am I kidding, right? Any sane girl in this world would literally kill for flat tummy, toned abs, thighs and wherever necessary and bet the word cellulite never exists in these angel's dictionaries. Btw, sometimes a bit of daydreaming is allowed, huh?

Anyways, I just thought that it's a good way to de-stress after a hectic day at work. *winks*

P/S: Exercise is good! *thumbs up*

Back from a super duper long hiatus ...

I have to admit that it's been way too long since i've written anything but 2011 has just been busy yet fulfilling. Time just flies past at the blink of an eye and before you know it, there's only five month's left of the year. The past few month's has mostly been spent between work, travelling (for work) and travelling (for leisure). Work wise, pretty stable now with a few hiccups here and there. Then again, nothing is perfect that's for sure. Stress is always lingering around but I've learned to adapt and live through it. Hence, the frequency in travelling for leisure (in other words, HOLIDAY!!!!) has increased tremendously this year.

A bit of recap of the past 7 months, Jan as usual we had the company's annual meeting plus national conference. Highlight of the event would be the venue of this year's conference was in Penang. Definitely had a blast pigging out on Penang's ever famous hawker foods ('char kuey teow', 'rojak', 'assam laksa', 'o-chien' etc) *salivating* .. Yums!! Fun times!

In Feb, since the cousins were back for Chinese New Year, i organized a chillax shopping trip to Bangkok with two of my favourite cousins, K and J, along with a close buddy, N during the 2nd week of CNY. Partied hard, shopped to the max, ate like kings and queens, and literally came home with a huge hole in my pocket.

But the real major dent to the bank account was my European escapade - London, Greece (Santorini & Mykonos) and Iceland (Reyjavik) in May. Though the damage came up to five figure however, I must say, it was a hell of an experience that i will always remember. Fine dining, shopping, chilling, moving from one hotel to another, catching flights, adrenalin rushing excursions, geothermal spa, panaromic views, most romantic island's of the world, snow mountains, Super Jeeps and the list goes on. To summarize, I definitely do not regret the $$$$ spent because it was certainly worth every penny. Definitely a trip to remember, especially with the volcano eruption in Iceland. What an adventure!! *phew*

As the saying goes, " Work hard, play harder " . *lol* It definitely took a few months to recuperate from Europe's damage but it did not stop me from travelling. Therefore, I resorted to travelling locally within budget constraints in order to destress from work. Payed a visit to the east side of Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu to be exact with a couple of friends. As always, travelling must always be accompanied but good local food besides great company. The seafood was AMAZING and best of all, super CHEAP in KK. Such bliss!!

Will definitely do a post with photos and all on the places I've been to soon.

Happy New Year ...

Every year of today, an empty feeling creeps into my soul, unlike everyone excited and celebrating the day .. to me, it just signifies another year gone by. Don't get me wrong, each year is filled with achievements but somehow or rather, maybe I was hoping for something else besides the fruits of labor. I guess, one will never always get everything he/she wishes for, huh?

Anyways, I'm still grateful for the kindness that god has showered me for the stressful times have paid off tremendously. A song that has been constantly playing on my mind, ever since watching the infamous Korean drama, He's Beautiful. Love Jang Geun Suk loads. Such a cutie!

Happy New Year!
