Back from a super duper long hiatus ...

I have to admit that it's been way too long since i've written anything but 2011 has just been busy yet fulfilling. Time just flies past at the blink of an eye and before you know it, there's only five month's left of the year. The past few month's has mostly been spent between work, travelling (for work) and travelling (for leisure). Work wise, pretty stable now with a few hiccups here and there. Then again, nothing is perfect that's for sure. Stress is always lingering around but I've learned to adapt and live through it. Hence, the frequency in travelling for leisure (in other words, HOLIDAY!!!!) has increased tremendously this year.

A bit of recap of the past 7 months, Jan as usual we had the company's annual meeting plus national conference. Highlight of the event would be the venue of this year's conference was in Penang. Definitely had a blast pigging out on Penang's ever famous hawker foods ('char kuey teow', 'rojak', 'assam laksa', 'o-chien' etc) *salivating* .. Yums!! Fun times!

In Feb, since the cousins were back for Chinese New Year, i organized a chillax shopping trip to Bangkok with two of my favourite cousins, K and J, along with a close buddy, N during the 2nd week of CNY. Partied hard, shopped to the max, ate like kings and queens, and literally came home with a huge hole in my pocket.

But the real major dent to the bank account was my European escapade - London, Greece (Santorini & Mykonos) and Iceland (Reyjavik) in May. Though the damage came up to five figure however, I must say, it was a hell of an experience that i will always remember. Fine dining, shopping, chilling, moving from one hotel to another, catching flights, adrenalin rushing excursions, geothermal spa, panaromic views, most romantic island's of the world, snow mountains, Super Jeeps and the list goes on. To summarize, I definitely do not regret the $$$$ spent because it was certainly worth every penny. Definitely a trip to remember, especially with the volcano eruption in Iceland. What an adventure!! *phew*

As the saying goes, " Work hard, play harder " . *lol* It definitely took a few months to recuperate from Europe's damage but it did not stop me from travelling. Therefore, I resorted to travelling locally within budget constraints in order to destress from work. Payed a visit to the east side of Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu to be exact with a couple of friends. As always, travelling must always be accompanied but good local food besides great company. The seafood was AMAZING and best of all, super CHEAP in KK. Such bliss!!

Will definitely do a post with photos and all on the places I've been to soon.

Happy New Year ...

Every year of today, an empty feeling creeps into my soul, unlike everyone excited and celebrating the day .. to me, it just signifies another year gone by. Don't get me wrong, each year is filled with achievements but somehow or rather, maybe I was hoping for something else besides the fruits of labor. I guess, one will never always get everything he/she wishes for, huh?

Anyways, I'm still grateful for the kindness that god has showered me for the stressful times have paid off tremendously. A song that has been constantly playing on my mind, ever since watching the infamous Korean drama, He's Beautiful. Love Jang Geun Suk loads. Such a cutie!

Happy New Year!

Top 3 pet peeves ...

Oh boy! The 200th post is sadly another ranting of mine. However, I desperately need to get these lingering thoughts out of my mind because it's FRUSTRATING AND ANNOYING me!!!!!

1. Guys who are NOT gentlemens .. F***ing pathetic souls! I pity them!

A perfect example of one of the many incidents by this un-gentlemenly so-called 'friend', leaving your poor friend waiting after confirming to meet for a drink FOR AN HOUR PLUS (@@#$$%^^ ASSHOLE!!!!) without informing any delays or whatsoever as if the person is compelled to wait for the A-hole. Bastard (Do excuse my language!!).  And when out with this ungentlemenly so-called 'friend', he'll be constantly on the phone or texting all the time. Wtf!! Any respect for others? No!! Just so you know, he's desperate for an other half but that's not an effing excuse to ignore or treat your friends this way. Conclusion, this is what I consider as 'toxic' friends.

2. Dramatic FAKE people!!!!

Manipulative, DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA!, and more dramas - the precise word to describe these annoying homo sapiens. Pathetic souls!!!! I pity them too!! They can be nominated for the Oscars or whatever there is available 'coz they are effing FAKE!!! And LIARS!!!

3. Friends who are NOT sincere!!!!

You are always there to listen to their complaints, rantings etc.. BUT when the tables are turned, they ARE NEVER there for you. Or, those effing people that put you down just to make themselves feel superior. Wtf!! More pathetic souls!! Guess what? I've officially ran out of pity or empathy!

I believe the true meaning of friendship should always be a give and take in life but when 'some' goes across the limit, it is officially a no no. Which in other words means, that pathetic soul does not appreciate or cherish the friendship you have given or showered upon them and these are definitely considered 'toxic'!!!

Hence, these incidents and pathetic souls have ignited my urge to filter out these 'toxic' people from my life in order to achieve a more positive, PEACEFUL and balanced mindset plus life. I've had enough share of dramas, negative-ness and shitty people, not forgetting the stress from work, so with all these 'toxic' around, it's definitely not helping at all. Btw, not dissing anyone in particular but enough is enough!!

Anyhow, as I mentioned earlier, this is just a rant that have been pent up all these while...

*sigh*

A season of celebrations ...

I celebrate my 200th 199th post with a toast to the celebrative season to the recent Birthday babies (of Oct, Nov and Dec) and since Christmas and New Year is just around the corner. The past few months has just been hectic with weekends after weekends of birthday celebrations, dinners and as usual, work! Hence, the absence from the blogging sphere!

Anyways, last weekend was spent at Hajime, an authentic Japanese restaurant and by far, one of best Japanese restaurants in town in conjunction of M's birthday (an old fren of mine).

It was certainly worth the visit, food was fantastic and the highlight of the night would definitely be the Fugu (pufferfish) sashimi - a seasonal dish. Thanks to the waiter's recommendation since it was Fugu season currently, it was certainly all nods for the Fugu sashimi.

Fugu can be lethally poisonous due to its tetrodotoxin, therefore has to be carefully prepared to remove toxic parts and to avoid contaminating the meat.[1] The restaurant preparation of fugu is strictly controlled by the law in Japan and several other countries, and only chefs who have qualified through rigorous training are allowed to deal with the fish.[1][2] However, the domestic preparation occasionally leads to accidental death.[2] Fugu is served as sashimi andchirinabe.[2] Some consider the liver the tastiest part but it is also the most poisonous, and serving the fugu liver in restaurants was banned in Japan in 1984.Fugu has become one of the most celebrated and notorious dishes in Japanese cuisine
                                                                                          ( plucked from Wikipedia)

* The exotic dish*

A dish or shall I say, an experience of a lifetime that one must try at least once despite the damage to the pocket. It has the soft chewy texture to it and the stuffs in the centre (centre of the pic) was jelly-like. Everyone was still alive at the end of the meal, so kudos to the chef for the good preparation skills.

Excuse me for the absence of food porn! My camera needs to be admitted to Sony hospital but it's been months and I still have not found the time to do so. Boo!!! I guess it's time for a new camera .. *lol* .. have my eyes on the Canon S90 or the G12.

Btw, there was a surprise awaiting this morning at the workplace. Guess what? Christmas pressies from the Company - Crabtree and Evelyn's La Source set and Jusco vouchers worth RM90 for everyone. Hooray~

The eyes are giving up on me now.. Time to crash. Nite to all .. ZZZzzzzzz

An urge to rant ...

Recently, I've been feeling a wee bit very weak (emotionally). Boredom is always looming around and haunting me. Argghh!!!! Go away please!! I hate this feeling. Hmm.. all of a sudden, I am perpetually out of words. A bit of writers block! Ewww ...

Oh well! Guess it's off to bed now since my mind is pretty blank at the moment. Will try to write more soon. Need to vent out those sickly feelings stuck inside my mind. Hate it! Hate it!

Sigh! Goodnite .. *still whining* ..

Helloo again...

Today marks the 4th month of me being back in the workforce. Boy! Time flies, it feels like it was just yesterday that I was preparing for my first day of employment. Story cut short, work has been hectic with lotsa travelling and catching up involved (plus loads of dramas). Yes! Sad to say, dramas again .. A fact that i've come to admit is unavoidable when working for a multinational company. Despite that, I've got to know a number of colleagues that belong to the 'neutral' side. Some can be pretty fun and crazy. Cool, funny peeps! So, things are actually going pretty well (after some scanning, and filtering through the masks of certain drama 'kings' and 'queens').

Been feeling a tad bit demotivated   emotionally down lately, especially the past few days. Probably due to the stress and dramas, I guess. Thus, I've resorted to finishing the novel by Cecilia Ahern called A Place Called Here. Pretty inspiring read .. I've always loved Cecilia Ahern's collection, particularly after her No.1 Bestseller - P/S: I Love You! Here's an insightful paragraph to share:-

" We all get lost once in a while, sometimes by choice, sometimes due to forces beyond our control. When we learn what it is our soul needs to learn, the path presents itself. "

Pet peeves of sharing a living space with others ...

1. Sleep disturbances caused by MENTAL, PSYCHOPATIC maniacs who bring his/her bf to the crib in the wee hours of the morning, watching telly and turning on the music frm the laptop at the same time. (By that, I'm talking about 4am - 7am ... The time where you are suppose to be sleeping soundly!!!! No brainers, huh?)

2. Inconsideration of others - Washing clothes at 4am (Again, WTF??? If it's not a case of mental, then what else can we call this?? 4 am!!! )

3. Noise pollution - Turning on the TV/music volume to the max like he/she is borned deaf without considering that the fact the housemates are sleeping or resting in the own rooms and WOULD LOVE some PEACE & QUIET!!

4. Cleanliness - Hygiene is a very CRUCIAL thing when living with others. I hate those LAZY, DIRTY B****es that LEAVE THEIR RUBBISH STACKING OUTSIDE THE ROOM OR IN THE KITCHEN TILL MAGGOTS START TO BREED AMONG THEIR TRASH.

5. Selfishness - Not doing their share of chores (mopping, cleaning, sweeping etc) in the house BUT when they clean, they only clean INSIDE their rooms! How selfish can these people be? And when the utensils run out of stock, they will not take the initiative to buy new ones. They do not chip in on the groceries but tend to use it generously without asking permission in advance. (F***ing 'Scrooges'!!!!)

6. Bills - They let the electric and water bills stack for months and will not take the initiative to pay them till their being told to. Again, we're dealing with some screwed up 'Scrooges' here !!

These are the main few things that I've found to be VERY COMMON when sharing a living space with others (despite the fact that some of the housemates are ACTUALLY people who you call 'friends' .. Uh huh! So called 'friends'!!).

Not only do they abuse your generosity towards them but they affect the peace of mind that a living space is suppose to provide after a stressful day at work. I'm just dyinggggggg.... practically wishing every single day that my wish to own a place of my own will come true very very very soon!!! God, please lend a helping hand in making my wish come true! Puhhhleeeaseeee.... *sobs* ... Really 'beh tahan' ...
