a series of bad luck..

The past month has been pretty exciting and everything seems to be going quite well for me. Been pretty hyped and happy with everything (work, friends, family, etc). Then, EVERYTHING began to go downhill... It all started with a lovely night out with some girlfriends on a Monday night. Brussel's@Jaya One, was celebrating their very 1st anniversary and i was invited to attend the event. There were free flow's of food and alcohol (choices consists of Stella Artois, Hoegarden Grand Cru, Forbidden Fruit & of course, Carlsberg *yucks*) from 5pm-8pm. It started out great, meeting up with friends, colleague's of friends and friends of friends. Chatting and hanging out, while stuffing ourselves with huge german sausages, french fries, mussels, roast pork (fattening but tasty and p/s:- i only ate the crunchy top part *wink*) and drowning those fats with imported beer. Hence, cam-whoring session commenced :

* That's me! Caught in action, taking a swig out of the bottle (i know it's very unlady-like but what the hell, it's a beer bar)

So, as you can see here..i was having loads of fun. Then, we moved to sit inside coz it was getting really hot outside. I was supposed to collect something from my ex-colleague later and had to report back to office the next day so, i decided to stop consuming alcohol and had ice water instead. Plus, some of my friends were getting drunk so i had to be sober to keep an eye on them. After an hour plus, i decided to leave coz i didn't want to keep my ex-coll waiting and my friends decided to leave together as well. One of them was drunk and we escorted her back to her car, another lost her parking ticket and had to go back to search for it. Drunk - 1, Half-drunk - 1, Sober - 3 (i'm one of them).

Then, the most traumatic thing in my life happened:-

I was on my way home from Jaya One, took a shortcut at sec. 16 to damansara. I remember passing the traffic light, going up-hill, texted my ex-coll that i'll be reaching in 10 mins, slowing down coz i know there's bump soon in front. Next, in split sec, i remember a sec of darkness with a loud bang and looking down to find myself covered with broken glasses. Front: Cracked but not broken, Left, passenger seat window: Broken (source of broken glasses), Right: Still intact, not affected. Though in shock, i quickly unfasten my seat belt, jump out of the car to remove all broken glasses from my dress, work phone in my hand and noticed a man walking towards me. Walked towards him and asked whether i knocked into his car, he replied no. He was checking to see whether i was injured, and two chinese guys walked over and i asked the same thing. Was utterly still in shock, and asked them the same question coz i was very worried that i injured anyone during the course of the accident. Thank god! They were actually doing some renovation at one of the house nearby when they heard a loud crash, so they quickly rushed out. I went back into my car to retrieve my personal phone and handbag.

First thought when i got out of the car was how did it happen..throughout the whole ordeal, the question kept replaying in my mind. HOW??? A good friend of mine came to the rescue. I am deeply grateful and touched. And i am VERY,VERY sure that i was sober enough to drive. Moreover, if it was as simple as texting while driving, i would've felt the car swerve or spin, right? How could i have felt nothing at all? And i knocked into a tree, which was quite a distance away from my car. Till now, the question is still lingering in my mind. I was deeply shocked and as much as i felt like crying, i could not, there were just no tears at all. Ever since that night, i have trouble sleeping. Every time i close my eyes, my heart kept palpitating. Even after taking a sleeping pill, which usually knocks me off in 15 mins, i'm still wide awake. My 'Happy' pill is not working at all (*named it my happy pill for certain reasons)..

To make things worse, the next day when i went to the workshop to collect the balance of my stuff in my car, some of my shoes were gone. Thank god, the night of the accident i took all my aldo's back home.. List of shoes lost..nope, the correct word is STOLEN!! It's daylight robbery!!!! May the fuckers (excuse my language, damn pissed) rot in hell.

Total = 6 and a half pair
-Bebe black heels
-Ted Baker red flats
-Ted Baker pig skin-lining pumps (one of a kind *SOB*)
-On Pedder blue suede pumps (a great buy from one of my HK trips)
-Adidas trainers (also a great buy from HK)
-Guess leopard print 4" heels (i've only worn it once *f@@@*)
-one side of Nine West heels (present frm mum, bought in taiwan)

Estimated loss - RM 1K++

Anyone who knows me, knows how important my shoes are to me..why??????
My stress level instantly escalated to 200%..
A good friend of mine, who was with me at that point of time quickly brought me for some retail therapy at 1-U..it helped a bit initially but when i reached Nine West, Aldo..i almost broke down in tears..That night itself, i had a series of nightmares.

However, a loved one said "Big baby,god didn't punish you. God saved you from getting hurt and in return, he stole your shoes coz you just have too many" That was his exact words. Both funny and heart-warming. It was a real comfort and that put a smile on my face. Anyways, i do thank god that i wore my seatbelt if not i wouldn't have the chance to post this.

Other stuff missing:- my car's CD player and SmartTag. (not as depressing as my shoes *ARRRGHHH*)
