OMG!!! Saleeeeeeessssss ...

What a pleasant discovery!! Have just stumbled upon this site called Shopping n Sales (Psst ...already saved this link in my bookmark for future references!!!). And, guess what??

Too bad, I, of all person, should not even think of going or can not afford the luxury of sales or shopping at the moment!! Oh well .. Wtf!!! I am not so into Gucci (not saying it just to make myself feel better), except for their shoes, clothes and accessories. Plus, Gucci are for commoners. Oops! A bit of arrogance detected here ..but it's true!! Especially in Asian countries (MYS, HK, SG and bla! bla! bla!).

A perfect example would be HongKong. Walk along any streets in Tsim Sha Tsui area - especially Canton Road (where all the luxury stores are located), off-hand you can see the same Gucci or LV bag carried by 4 or 5 different person. Or nearer, go to Pavilion, KLCC, Mid-Valley etc.. the amount of people carrying either a Speedy or Neverfull (LV) is just ridiculous!! Or Gucci totes .. and some even have the audacity to carry fakes!! Eeeww ... an utter disgrace to all the bag lovers out there!!! If you can't afford one, then don't get one!

Reason being, go to any one of the malls, aunties, grandma's, 'ah lian's'  etc .. all carry the same stuff. Same goes to LV and Coach. And sad to say, usually to these type of homosapiens, LV, Gucci and Coach are the few luxury brands that they know of. SooOo typical!!

This reminds me of a personal experience over a year ago, during a Taipei trip. I will not mention names but what happen was like this:-

(@ FENDI store, Taipei 101)

Frenny, 'A': Which bag should I buy? Is it ok if I get the same Zucha as you? I loveeee the pink one (last one standing & the one that I chose).
Me: *speechless* Erm ........... I guess it's ok. Maybe we can check with the retail assistant to see whether there's stock.
Frenny 'B': Ok ... But I think I want to check out COACH first.
Frenny 'C' : Why of all brands, COACH??? Look! DIOR is around the corner, let's go and have a quick look first so that you have more options to play around with.

* After waiting for 20-30 mins, I had to scour to the Dior store to get them. Paid for our goods at FENDI and headed back to DIOR *

Frenny 'A' : Look! What do you think of this bag? Don't you think it's too expensive for a DIOR?
Me: What?? RM1800 (after conversion) is expensive? This is a DIOR bag we're talking about!!! I'd buy that in split second. (@#$%^& in my mind, frustration level = medium)
Frenny 'A' : Really? But not many people know of this brand.
Frenny 'B' and me : *frustration escalating*  You have got to be kidding!!! Anyone who doesn't know DIOR is a loser .. Besides, why care about others? You are the one paying for the bag.
Frenny 'A' : I know, but I want others to know which brand of bag I'm carrying mah... Can I check out COACH first? I think I prefer COACH over DIOR. 'Coz more people can recognize COACH bags.
Frenny 'B', 'C' and me : =.= III ...

 Omg! It was most frustrating, talking to someone who clearly DO NOT KNOW anything about luxury brands. And the cherry on the cake was, she was the most indecisive   person EVER!!!! Even the guys, B & C can't take it too..

I reckon, there should be LUXURY BRAND's education implemented for those who choose to carry these bags !!! *LOL* And some people have not even heard of Balenciaga, D'Squared, Roberto Cavalli etc... What is wrong with these people??? Geez ..

Better go stuff myself with breakfast to ease the frustration.. *LOL*

pre-weekend =)

Thank god! It's finally Thursday, weekend is just within an arms reach. I have a birthday party to attend later at Bamboo, TTDI plaza... Hmm.. haven't thought of what to wear yet. Guess this calls for Project Recycle again.. oR.. I can skip the whole fiasco, stay home and watch the telly?? *LOL* Am feeling a bit lethargic today. Had a weird dream while I was napping just now. Nice weather these days to ZZZzzzz! Well, we'll just see how it goes later..

Plus, I have to report back to office AGAIN for f***s tomorrow morning. Have to do some shitty role play. Thanks to the a**hole manager of mine! What a waste of time!!!!! Besides, those freaking detailing aids are bloody old news. The aging process on the detailing aids are so damn apparent. SoOoo embarassing to even use it in front of the docs. Not that I am prejudiced towards short people, BUT some are just born to be a NO-BRAINER!!!

Oh! Interesting news I read from style.com and nitrolicious.com this afternoon, Jimmy Choo for H&M is RESTOCKING tomorrow at 3 H&M stores in New York!!! May I repeat, in New York only!! What about London??? Sigh! Is it just my fate that I am not destined to be a proud owner of a pair of Choos at an awesome price?? Just love the one in electric blue...*sobsob* and the zebra-striped clutch and the gladiator heels and the flats..(the list will be never ending)

Note: I still haven't got over the fact that H&M is not available in Malaysia, as well as Target and a few other good stuff..What country are we living in?? Why are we always deprived from all these bargains??? @##$%%^**

Btw, had my eyes on a Longchamp x Jeremy Scott 'Bone' Pliage bag, upon reading another updated post from nitrolicious.com. *hearts* And the best part, the retail price is $224 only.. Splurge or steal? Sweet!!

Am awaiting *fingers crossed* good news from frenny in London... Hope she got my text message and email! Wonder if the retail store in Pavilion has it? Must go check it out tomorrow! See..talk about shopping ban! It's so tough with all the temptations around me. Urgghhhh... Must get it though >.<

partayyyy!!

Am regaining my old self back in bitz *Whoopeee doo*...partied a bit tonight..Initially was headed to Rootz (latest club in KL located at rooftop Lot 10) but when i reached the parking, received a call from hommie that the place was freaking packed and the queue was super long. So, we hestitantly switched to Quattro ( located at Avenue K, opp. KLCC)..

Awww...I still wana go to Rootz... Oh well, I guess it's the company that counts. It was freaking packed and crowded too at Quattro..dif. range of crowd compared to Rootz.. Nvm, am very determined to go there next week for gal frenz birthday celebration. Must get a reservation!!! N hopefully they don't change venue *fingers crossed*.. Super tired now... time to zzzZZZzz..!! What a night! *LOL*

Btw, not forgetting my outfit for the night:-

* Gladiator inspired dress (Mango), black leggings & my Fendi Zucca pouch (a definite steal amongst my other haulage during recent Taiwan trip - 30% disc + 5% GST)*

* Paired with this purdy pair of Mary-Janes (ALDO) *

* Cam-whoring in my new ride *

Korean day

Woke up with a knack for Korean food. Hehe! Me and my cravings! Oh well! Since I had to return something that i loaned from my doc's @ Ampang Puteri Hospital, I decided to head to my favorite dodgy Korean restaurant at the Korean Village not far from the hospital for lunch.

* My outfit for today - Navy blue sleeveless blouse (Zara), flowery skirt (latest haulage from Forever 21), black belt (from Taiwan - RM20 only) and my beloved red Aldo work-bag (bought it for RM100 during one of their sales. what a steal, huh?) *

Restaurant Korea is the name of the place. Basically, I've been to this place a couple of times previously. It looks a bit dodgy on the inside but I just love their friendly service and reasonable pricing for the food. Plus, I get to sit in my own secluded booth.

Super hungry today! So, I ordered a Korean Bim Bim Bap (rice with mixed vege on a hotstone bowl) and a Kimchi and Pork Belly soup. I tend to order these 2 dishes each time I visit this place.

* I'm a Coke gal *

* Bim Bim Bap *

* This is what it looks like after you mix it with the sauce *

* Kimchi and pork belly soup *

* Side dishes plus complimentary bowl of Korean style dried vege soup *

* Weirdo side dishes - pickled turnip (tastes quite alright. slightly salty); pickled ginger (err...didn't dare to try. Am definitely not a big fan of ginger!) *

Looks good doesn't it? Oh! Did I mention that I ate all the above alone? HaHa! A hearty meal for me.. *pat on my big tummy+evil smile* Total bill - RM33 only. Paid Lotte Mart a visit after lunch, couldn't resist leaving the place without getting some korean snacks and beverages, right?

* My haulage from the mart *

BTW, the cashier spoke to me in Korean language when I paid for my stuff. I was a bit blur, after a heavy lunch. Then the owner of the mart, friendly guy I would say, spoke to me. He asked whether I was Korean. I said no. He thought I was and he said the stuff I bought are popular Korean snacks. Hmmm...weird! But it's not the first time I've experienced this. Last Friday, was at Library for a drink with some people, a guy from the next table approached me and asked whether I was Korean. First thought that came into mind was he's shitting me. A stupid, lame trick to talk to me and get my number. Whatever, rite!!! And I forgot to mention, he's not good looking at all and a bit on the aging side. A definite no no!! Yucks!!!

But seriously, do I look Korean? I don't think so... =P

* Kam sa mida??? (I look weird in this pic, huh?)*

RM15 lunch (Backdated post)

First of all, above is the my outfit for the day (Project Recycle) - Black, empire-waist tunic (can't remember when i bought it) paired with a pair of black leggings (given by mum), grey, 100% wool grey cardigan from Mango and my Burberry Blue Label black/white checkered tote. Decided to dress-up more casually coz it's a Friday and am kinda sick of workclothes!

RM 15 Lunch @ Brussels, Jaya One:-

* Choice of burger or spaghetti - pls excuse the poor quality of pic (shaky hands!) *

* Pork Bacon Burger (Mediocre only - Meat was bit dry and bacon wasn't as crispy as expected. However, burger bread was nice though! There was garlic spread infused within the bread. Portions are huge, more suitable choice for guys)

The set meal comes with a soft drink and you can help yourselves at the salad bar. I guess rm15 is quite cheap for free flows of salad, a drink and a main course. The spaghetti seafood marinara looks yummy. Damn! Should've chosen that instead of the burger. Regretted after i saw the peeps sitting next to our table indulging in the lovely plate of seafood and spaghetti. Oh well! There's always a next time. *LOL*

* The salad bar *

* The greens *

* A pic of the place *

Initially, i planned to head to A Slice of Heaven to try out their heavenly cakes but i was just a tad too full. So, I headed to Bukit Damansara for work instead. On the way, received a call from a friend of mine to meet up with her at 1-Utama after i'm done. Hmm.. That seems to be my routine these days. I am sort of stuck in procrastinating mode lately. Not good! =(

lunch@ Pasta Zanmai

Basically, i think the whole world is working, except me. Oh well, who cares anyways? Wasn't snaking at home today. Reason being that i don't need to work today is because of the new rule (thank god! THE only good news) in my company, there will be a replacement holiday on Monday if any public holiday falls on a Saturday. Haw! Haw! So, I met up with my ex-colleague, cutesy Miss C for lunch and gossip *LOL*. She suggested Sunway & I had craving for Pasta Zanmai (located at the new wing of Sunway Pyramid). Without any hestitation, there we were! =)

Btw, my outfit for the day (Project Recycle), a dress from Mphosis bought aeons ago (can't even remember when i got it. Oops!), paired with a navy blue cardigan from MNG (to protect me from the blasting air-conditioning at The Pyramid) and my Balenciaga, of course!

And, here are some pics of the place:-

* Menu - Filled with tempting pictures of the mouth-watering choices available at Pasta Zanmai *

Well, I must admit, we had a tough time deciding on what to order. EVERY SINGLE thing looks so good!

* Set menu *

Finally, we decided to order a pasta and a pizza to share:-

* Our drinks - Iced green tea (Miss Cutesy's) & Blueberry soda for me *
Note: It only cost rm3 for that big jar of iced green tea. Not bad, eh? But then again, the cost of green tea is cheap i guess. Afterall, it's just a sachet of green tea plus water and ice.

* Ebi Mochi Pizza (delicious!) *

* Salmon Sashimi with fish roe pasta set (comes with a miso soup & salad) - Oishi!! *

Earlier, we planned to save some room for dessert because after looking at the dessert & drinks menu, they all look so good. Green tea ice cream *salivating*. BUUTTTTttt.. 'lil did we know, after gorging down the pizza and pasta, there were just no room left for our dessert. Boohoo! Oh well! There's always a next time, right!
* Dessert menu *

Another satisfying meal with good company and gossip. Hehe!

A day at The Pyramids..

Met up with a gal friend at Sunway Pyramid just now. Totally didn't expect the traffic to be heavy at 4pm. Maybe it was due to the heavy rain. Whoa! I only wished for a 'lil rain coz the weather was just too hot to my liking but NOT a heavy downpour. Oh well! Some rain will do us good anyways. Was in the mood for sushi. Thus, we decided to have a light meal at Tokyo-G. Sushi with a twist =)

* Cool interior *

* The menu (I kinda like the woven design of the menu) *

* Mojito (Had a sudden crave for cocktails) *

* Ever delicious Godzilla roll (Tempura prawns in the middle, covered with tuna and mango on the outside) *

* Smoked salmon roll with sweet teriyaki sauce *

* Edamame (bit soggy, think they over-steamed it. Hmphh!) *

* Me - Filled to the brim. Sated!!! =) *

After filling our tummy's, we decided to head to Forever 21. Yea, i know shopping ban but just couldn't resist the urge to get something. So, i limit my spending to rm30 and decided to get some accessories instead of clothes. Yes! I still am keen on Project Recycle. Besides, accessories come in handy to spice up any old outfits. Right?? Hehe.. Got myself a pair of earrings and some hair-clips.

Aldo was just opposite and without thinking, i was strolling along the lovely shoes all calling out for me to put them on my feet and bring them home. God! This was more difficult than i ever thought. My friend had to practically drag me out of the store. Thank goodness! Next, passed by NafNaf and the Mid-season sales sign caught my eye. Nothing much to see though and I, personally don't really fancy the clothes there. Lucky for me! *phew*

Basically, my main objective at the mall was to check out Tanamera's home spa products @ Parkson. Along the way, we detoured again into MNG. Saw some shorts, selling for rm79. Price - reasonable, Length & Cutting - like it, Material - Cotton, Color - Khaki, Maroon, Green. So, i might just get the one in khaki later.

Back to Tanamera, they have a whole range of body scrubs, massage oils, essential oils, hair care, bath range and mini home spa series. I read about it in Cleo magazine Sep issue i think. Checked it out on their website (www.tanamera.com.my) last night. I almost went nuts there. Gosh! Just so much to choose from. Got a body scrub, a face mist (tried it & am loving it), some essential oils and a herbal face compress. Here are the pics of my loot:-
* My mini home spa *

* Peppermint & Ylang Ylang essential oils *

* Aqueous Facial Mist & Tropical Lulur Scrub *

* Herbal Face Compress *

Next, dessert time. Yippee!!! My friend brought me to Ice Monster, a taiwanese dessert stall located at the intersection between old and new wing, same level as A&W, Ajisen etc.

* Mix Fruit ice (mixture of kiwi, strawberries, mango fruit with mango ice-cream topping) *

* Me & my fav dessert *

What a day! Strolling around the mall and tummy filled with fav jap. sushi & taiwanese ice dessert, I can say i'm sated for the day. *LOL*

Oh! Btw, here's a pic of my outfit for the day (Top: Ted Baker; Pants - Candy-striped capri from MNG & Balenciaga Giant City, matched with my Zara ballet pumps, not in pic) :-
* My outfit for the day *

Ended the day with a session of pool at Bravo sports bar @Plaza Damas, newly opened by my friend's bf. In the midst of pool, received a call from colleague to join him at The Library but was just too tired for a second round. Oh well, will be meeting him for happy hour tomorrow anyways. Tired and still feeling a bit lethargic *eeks* ..Bedtime! zzZZZzzzz ~ >.<
