pre-Dumpling festival ? ..

Teehee.. woke up on sunny Thursday morning with  these (above pics) awaiting on the dining table. Nyonya dumplings are my fav, by far amongst other types of dumplings.  Thanks to my Papa, who woke up at 7am on his off-day to get it from the market. You're the best !!! 

If not mistaken, I doubt it's the Chinese Dumpling season yet but who cares, right!!! Everyday can be a festival ... Ha ha .. *nom nom nom*

OMG!!! Saleeeeeeessssss ...

What a pleasant discovery!! Have just stumbled upon this site called Shopping n Sales (Psst ...already saved this link in my bookmark for future references!!!). And, guess what?? 

Too bad, I, of all person, should not even think of going or can not afford the luxury of sales or shopping at the moment!! Oh well .. Wtf!!! I am not so into Gucci (not saying it just to make myself feel better), except for their shoes, clothes and accessories. Plus, Gucci are for commoners. Oops! A bit of arrogance detected here ..but it's true!! Especially in Asian countries (MYS, HK, SG and bla! bla! bla!). 

A perfect example would be HongKong. Walk along any streets in Tsim Sha Tsui area - especially Canton Road (where all the luxury stores are located), off-hand you can see the same Gucci or LV bag carried by 4 or 5 different person. Or nearer, go to Pavilion, KLCC, Mid-Valley etc.. the amount of people carrying either a Speedy or Neverfull (LV) is just ridiculous!! Or Gucci totes .. and some even have the audacity to carry fakes!! Eeeww ... an utter disgrace to all the bag lovers out there!!! If you can't afford one, then don't get one! 

Reason being, go to any one of the malls, aunties, grandma's, 'ah lian's'  etc .. all carry the same stuff. Same goes to LV and Coach. And sad to say, usually to these type of homosapiens, LV, Gucci and Coach are the few luxury brands that they know of. SooOo typical!! 

This reminds me of a personal experience over a year ago, during a Taipei trip. I will not mention names but what happen was like this:-

Frenny, 'A': Which bag should I buy? Is it ok if I get the same Zucha as you? I loveeee the pink one (last one standing & the one that I chose). 

Me: *speechless* Erm ........... I guess it's ok. Maybe we can check with the retail assistant to see whether there's stock.

Frenny 'B': Ok ... But I think I want to check out COACH first. 

Frenny 'C' : Why of all brands, COACH??? Look! DIOR is around the corner, let's go and have a quick look first so that you have more options to play around with.

* After waiting for 20-30 mins, I had to scour to the Dior store to get them. Paid for our goods at FENDI and headed back to DIOR *

Frenny 'A' : Look! What do you think of this bag? Don't you think it's too expensive for a DIOR?

Me: What?? RM1800 (after conversion) is expensive? This is a DIOR bag we're talking about!!! I'd buy that in split second. (@#$%^& in my mind, frustration level = medium)

Frenny 'A' : Really? But not many people know of this brand.

Frenny 'B' and me : *frustration escalating*  You have got to be kidding!!! Anyone who doesn't know DIOR is a loser .. Besides, why care about others? You are the one paying for the bag.

Frenny 'A' : I know, but I want others to know which brand of bag I'm carrying mah... Can I check out COACH first? I think I prefer COACH over DIOR. 'Coz more people can recognize COACH bags.

Frenny 'B', 'C' and me : =.= III ... 

 Omg! It was most frustrating, talking to someone who clearly DO NOT KNOW anything about luxury brands. And the cherry on the cake was, she was the most indecisive   person EVER!!!! Even the guys, B & C can't take it too.. 

I reckon, there should be LUXURY BRAND's education implemented for those who choose to carry these bags !!! *LOL* And some people have not even heard of Balenciaga, D'Squared, Roberto Cavalli etc... What is wrong with these people??? Geez ..

Better go stuff myself with breakfast to ease the frustration.. *LOL*

My Aussie adventure ..

Ok, after putting much thought into how I shall start, I've decided to summarize my Western Australia escapade by writing about what I loved/enjoyed the most in Perth. 

• Being with my younger cousins:

Couzies K, J, and L. Couzie aka. chef K does come back often and recently has been back for CNY. We've hung out at home with my sister, who stayed back an extra month too til March. Lil J, however, is not back so often but he does come back once in a while for hols (fingers and toes crossed that he'll able to be back in July). Cousin L, though she was back 2 years ago for our cousin sister's wedding, which actually was the only time she was back in Malaysia. We rarely had the chance to spend much time together. So, it's been good catching up, and spending quality time together. Not so much with L, but mostly with K and J. 

* The two naughty couzies busy eating devouring the apple strudel. We had a brief, mini picnic at Kings Park. *

The 3 of us went on a roadtrip down to Margaret River, where all the vineyards, choc-factory and cheese factory are located. Apparently, all the dairy produce originates from here. Hence, the Mad Cow CowParade Margaret River 2010!

I quote from the brochure, " For the event, over 100 talented artists have transformed more than 80 life size 3D cow canvases into works of art. You will find them 'grazing' at iconic attractions and public spaces across the region from March to June 2010 " .

• The cooling weather (Spring and Autumn only, F*** winter & summer!! ;P) :

Forgive my vulgarity, but the Aussie summer is just too effin' hot to my liking .. Wtf! 40 degrees is not fun at all!! Winter, though, can be still bearable, especially when you think of the lovely coats and boots that you get to wear. LOL .. I love the thigh high boots . I find it sluttishly alluring! ;D

Anyways, the cooling Autumn weather made it possible for daily picnics at the park, and  definitely no sunburn or fainting due to the scorching sun (that's if you go for a picnic in Malaysia) !! You can just sit/lie down on the evergreen grass .. sooOOOo relaxing!!

When I first laid my eyes on the graffito along the streets of Northbridge (where the 'yum cha' restaurants and Vietnamese food are located), I just couldn't help but admire the creativity and beauty of it. Trust me! These graffito are not like those dodgy ones found along our Malaysian alleys and car parks in Jalan Alor or other areas. 

OOoh.. and I'll share a glimpse of action at J's frenny's art gallery. Loved it!!

                                              

• Booze, of course!! Vineyards and brewery .. not forgetting the drive-thru liquor stores ..My! Oh my!! This place is just heaven for alcohol lovers !!!

The weather is super duper HOT today .. almost melted the moment I step foot out of the house! My makeup was perpetually melting away before I even finished applying it to my face. Boo!!! Thank godness for the existence of air-conditions if not, I swear I will faint because of heatstroke! I do love the sun actually but just too much of it sucks AND only when I'm at the beach.  Why can't we enjoy cool, breezy weather here in Malaysia?? Not too hot and not too cold .. That is the best!!

Being back here, means blotchy complexions due to breakouts (hate 'em!!!) and oily skin. *grrr* Though I am not in a position to request or spend on anything, I need a facial ASAP!!! My face has now become the breeding ground for those annoying blackheads and whiteheads. Argghhhh!!! 

Oh well! All I can do now is whinge .. *sobs* .. Caught a movie today, SHREK FOREVER AFTER. 

Not too bad! Plus, it's been ages since I've seen a movie at the cinema. Which reminds me, Sex and the City 2 - something not to be missed!!!

Reminiscing back to the days when I was just merely a few years old, this was what we used to have. It's been ages since I've had Vegemite, which is the old school version of Marmite.

It's been too long actually but am certainly overwhelmed at this moment by the inflow of emotions. However, what surprises me is my control towards my feelings has improved immensely! As much as I would like to dwell in the moment of sadness, I only did for a few secs .. hopefully my perseverance will last! * fingers crossed*

What use is it to dwell on someone that has removed you from their hearts? Anyways, f*** it !!! I've better things to worry 'bout now.

Besides, I love my shoes and bags more. They never fail to impress and flatter thyself. Plus, they'll always be with you forever (that is if you don't lose them). OOoo ..Can't wait till I have my hands on my true love - Chanel 2.55!!! *hearts*

Oh well! Hearts are meant to be broken .. If it's not mine, then it'll be your's .. Whatever!!

After some unexpected hiccups, hopefully 'The Project' will turn out well ..*fingers and toes crossed* ..

Bugger! Am still down with a sorethroat, fever and THE MOST IRRITATING cough ever!!! Oh well! Mustn't let the sickness affect my optimism at the moment (been full of that ever since my relaxing escapade). Hopefully it will not diminish as time passes by *fingers crossed AGAIN*.

Since morning, I've been glued to my MacBook , working on 'The Project' and thinking of solutions to make the ends meet. Reason being, I guess I am more passionate and excited about my 'Project' than actual work, which is such routine and perpetually boring (thank god am still enjoying my fun-unemplyoment). Gosh! Come to think of it, this is actually more tiring compared to real work .. *lol* ..

However, I must admit that the $ in actual work can be more rewarding (for the time being) and soon (or to be exact, now) I have no choice but to succumb into the everyday routine "real work" since my bank account is running dangerously low *sighs* . Time to look for a job ...*sobsob* .. On the brighter side of things, getting a job means narrowing the distance between the ever-wanted Chanel bag and me. Oohh.. and being able to buy new shoeeeeeessssss!!! Okayyy, I'm deeply motivated now .. *laughs* .. The only thing lacking at the moment is a job!!!

Enough crapping for the day! Time for a teeny weeny catnap .. starting to feel feverish again .. The @#$%^ fever is like a bloody chipsmore biscuit. One minute it's here and another it's not!! * grr*
